We wanted to share a quick update on Isaac, and we're happy to report that he's doing fantastic!
Isaac returned to school on Tuesday and now has four full days under his belt! While there's certainly still healing happening internally, you honestly wouldn't know it by looking at him. He's back to his normal energy, personality, and routine, and he hasn't skipped a beat!
The biggest challenge right now? Following the doctor's orders to take it easy physically. 😂 Especially when it comes to basketball!
He's been given the okay for some light dribbling, but absolutely no shooting for four weeks. And let me tell you, Isaac is NOT a fan of that restriction! He asks us just about every day if the four weeks are up yet. And every single time, our answer is the same: "Nope, it still hasn't been four weeks, bud!" 😂
All joking aside, we are incredibly thankful. God has been so gracious to our family, and we truly couldn't have asked for things to go much better. Seeing Isaac back to himself and doing so well has been such a blessing.
We have his four-week follow-up appointment scheduled virtually with his neurosurgeon in Boston, and we're hopeful he'll be cleared to begin basketball season! His next MRI will be in about three months, and we'll continue taking things one step at a time.
Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for Isaac and his recovery. We are so grateful for how well he's doing and for God's faithfulness through it all! ❤️
