Busted Out of the Hospital! 🎉

Busted Out of the Hospital! 🎉

Well, Isaac surprised us today! We definitely weren't expecting to be discharged from the hospital just two days after surgery, but he's been doing so well and making such good progress that his medical team felt comfortable letting him go!

He still has a lot of recovering to do and needs plenty of rest, but thankfully, he can do that just as well at a nearby hotel instead of staying in the hospital.

Isaac was THRILLED to get his remaining IVs out, be done with all the monitoring, and finally get out of the hospital! 😂 We're now settled into a hotel close by, where he'll continue to rest and recover over the next few days.

We also got another exciting surprise today! Originally, we were told we'd need to stay in Boston for a full week after surgery. We decided to ask if there was any wiggle room with that timeline and whether flying home on Tuesday might be an option. His team felt comfortable with that plan, so we're officially coming home Tuesday, October 27! 🎉

Isaac will still need to be out of school all of next week, with plans to return the following week. He'll also have physical restrictions for the next four weeks before he's cleared to return to normal activities. So even though he's doing really well, rest and taking it easy will still need to be a big priority!

We're just so thankful to be over this first big hurdle and to have Isaac out of the hospital sooner than we expected. God has been so faithful through all of this, and we're feeling incredibly blessed by how well things have gone. We know there's still recovery ahead, but we're so thankful for how God has carried us through this part of the journey.

Thank you all for continuing to pray for Isaac and our family! To God be the glory! ❤️
